|Interventions||Nontoxigenic strain of C. difficile (M-I) previously shown to protect hamsters One ml was suspended in 50 ml of milk to yield ~10 7 CFU of C. difficile/ml. Given as a single oral dose on 3 successive days.|
|Clinical Diarrhea Outcomes||Symptoms decreased in 2 patients and C. difficile toxin was (1) eventually 1 patient had a relapse of C. difficile toxin and diarrhea x 2d 17 d after imrprovement|
