Inclusion criteria All patients treated for BCC in our institution in the period January 1998 to January 2005

Exclusion criteria After data collection we excluded 86 tumours treated with topical 5-fluorouracil (once daily, for 3 months or until development of skin ulceration), CO2-laser, imiquimod or untreated tumours, due to the low number of individuals.
